Nice picture. (my opinion) The overall mood of the shot doesn't fit the title to me for some reason - I guess I envision a greeting with a warmer setting. I think it is the overcast light or something. But I still like it. 7

The colors portray a strong emotion, but (being picky) the face is lit up a little too much and contrasts too much with the rest of the picture. I think it should be the focal point, but not as much light. Good luck!

The Tenacious Dragon

I read a little about the dragon and its meaning. Tenacious came up in several of the descriptions, and I wanted to portray the dragon with it's "tenacious" attitude, reaching for hard to get goals. So I used to shadow to depict the dragon as seeming larger than it really is. I intentionally burned the bottom right with the rendering in photoshop to create a fade from the bottom right to the top of the shadow in the top left. This wasn't very accepted by most voters, apparently. But this is my second submission, and I placed very good in my opinion. I am a beginner in photography, and to place 22nd is quite an honor!! Thanks for all the comments and votes! This site is really a lot fun, and I am learning so much. MUST GET BETTER CAMERA NOW!

The light source just seems to stationary. I would love to see this with maybe a pin light lining the petals, or maybe gel lights giving it another color. This is a wonderful picture, but in MY opinion, doesn't meet the challenge.
