Very good composition makes it interesting to look at. Waaaaaaaaaaaayyyy too much contrast and not very shallow.

Remind me of a shot I posted in a challenge a few years ago. Interesting and clever. Maybe a little on the oversharpened side .

This meet the challenge. The subject is just not that interesting. The technical realisation of this shot is good enough but I'm not sure I'd look in a gallery to find a shot of a camera box. Besides, the properties of your image show a width of 623 pixels wich is good enough but only a file size of 28K wich is not near enough. To get a file size that small you have to compress the JPEG so much that your image show a lot of JPEG artifact around the letters on the box in the focus part. If you are using photoshop, PM me after the challenge and if you want I'll be happy to help you get the file size just right with not too much compression.

This is a very interesting shot. The focus is maybe slightly ahead of the second water drop and it's a little spoiler. It would have worked so much better for me if the second drop and it's reflection was in perfect focus. Good anyway.

For me the DOF is not shallow as the most part of the image (the bird and the water) is in fact in focus with a small part of the image (the grass or else) is clearly out of focus. When I look for shadow DOF i'm looking for a very small part of the image in focus. Exemple in this shot if the grass was in focus and the rest out of focus this would be shallow. Beside, I think this shot is good with the bird maybe only too near the center of the frame.

Interesting. Maybe a bit underexposed or undercontrasted
