Why nobody likes me?by mubrinComment: Snakes are often alone, people are often scared when they are alone, the snake looks scared. Good picture and unless that is a pet snake, I admire you for taking it. |

Miss Van De Roheby swaroskjiComment: Color:dark and cold=loneliness
Dancing alone=solitude
The reflection: Could symbolize a person reflecting on a joy or a person long gone to the past, which in turn can make someone feel very alone...sad.
Picture quality is great and to my analytical mind, it fits the challenge from every angle. I like the picture as it is and also cut in half, without the statue itself. However, the statue does look cold and the way the legs come together like they are about to go into the featle(sp?) position gives the emotion of someone being closed off from others...or alone. Beautiful. |

All Alone - Above The Belowby photocellComment: I remember hearing something about this...is this in Great Britain? Wonderful picture...a man all alone while this "visitor" is completely oblivious to or is ignoring the obvious plea for attention. I love it. |

Zamboni Manby maknbaconComment: I always thought that job looked lonely...deffinetely when he is the only one on the ice and everyone else is on the outside looking in...or not really paying attention to you at all. It's like being anywhere by yourself in a crowd of strangers...like a lost child. Nice idea if people read it right. Great Idea. |

Nightime Reflectionsby genmpComment: Wow, I wasn't expecting so much negative feedback. Granted the picture is grainy, but when I lightened it up so people could see the figures better, I couldn't avoid the effect. If you can't make it out, it's a white girl with a black man standing behind her. I took the picture of the reflection of the two in a window. It was dark out and the orange blur next to the girl is a street light from a city that lies about a mile away. I thought it would be different for a change. I guess it was too different. Not many people could understand what it was. Maybe a better title next time? Someone said it was blurry and mentioned the use of a tripod...might work...but the blury effect is from the window, sort of like the effect water has on a reflection...it's called science. It isn't perfect and it's hardly ever an exact. It's called an experiment with film and reflections...guess the experiment was a bomb... |
