Lovely scene. Fits all alone well. The focus is good and I like the lighting, but I wish the photo was a little brighter over all. Also, the colors look like the could be a bit more vivid, the green is nice and rich, but the orangey-yellow looks a little washed out. A wonderful photo, well done. 7

when i read the title, i was thinking calves as in the ones on our feet. haha. i like the landscape, but feels very grey, could use some saturation to bring out all the beautiful fall colors.

beautiful scenery, but I'd love to see the calf closer.

Beautiful photo, but calf was hard to spot at first... doesn't really seem like the subject of attention here. He/she's kinda dark too. Pretty scenery though

Needs a little more light IMO. Otherwise nice photo. For the contest though I think you should have cropped it more to show more of the calf. Either a lighter time of day or lightening of the shot is needed. Great shot if for a landscape challenge if lightened.

Yes, they do. Great colours. Possibly shifting the focal point more to the calf would have given this image a stronger impact. 6

This is a lovely picture, I would not feel lonely there. I think if the calf is the subject you might have shot in more on it. As it is, the calf looks more lost than alone. Gorgeous Scene.

The calf is almost unnoticeable. At first I thought the subject was the duck in the lake. It wasn't until I read the title that I realized there was a calf on the shore.

Reminds me of home...great picture...nature always gives me the feeling of solitude...but the calf is not alone. There is someone else in the picture...:)
