The concept is good but the plate is overlit, the glare from the table ruins the overall shot.

Okay, I have to say something on this one. I saw it last night and was disgusted and then I thought, "Okay, it's a photography contest and sometimes there are unpleasant things to be seen, leave it until morning and try again."

Guess what? It's still disgusting. But putting that aside, one, how do you know he/she (how could you tell now?) they weren' t on their 9th life when this happened?

Second the over quality of the shot is wanting. It seems dark and the contrast is not there that could be.

????? I do not get this one, I looked at last night and again today trying to figure out what you are talking about. If it's the tree in the parking space I don't get it. The shot could have been cropped tighter to bring more attention to the subject you are talking about and maybe lightened just a bit.

More sad than ironic. As for the picture, the gun is very dark, maybe a bit more light and contrast would have worked for me.
