Oh and is the cow missing a leg? I only see one front leg, looks a little odd, LOL :)

LOL! I love the expression on the cow's face, LOL!

Okay, GREAT idea, original, unique and well composed. So why did it not do better? Well, my opinion, for what it's worth (about 2 cents on EBay) is the cow is dull. You desaturated the rest of the picture and not sure just how you went about it but the cow is dull and to me when a shot is desaturated the color part that is left out should really stand out. I know some are very subtle and such but this just begs for a more vibrant color of Yellow, not literally sunshine yellow but more than what is showing. Also, the line around the cow seems very percise, no give or take between it and the background. Maybe a slight blur or feather the wand a bit to allow a little less rigidity? Hope these comments help.

This is so cool! I didn't get to it during the challenge so didn't get a chance to vote on it. There were too many, LOL :)

I really like the colors, the clarity and the look of this shot. The only thing that bothers me just a touch is the balance, the X on the rope isn't on a third line or cross section or even in the middle on the side, it leaves me feeling a bit off for some reason. Maybe just a slightly different crop? Otherwise I cannot find anything wrong with this, I would have given it a 9 if I had gotten to it.

Okay, didn't get into a lot of detail the first time around so I'll try to be a little more detailed this time around.

I like the idea, the concept, the action. But the colors on the car are as I said before, a bit dull and uninteresting overall. Possibly a tweek to the levels or contrast could really make this shot stand out a bit more colorwise. Also sine this was advance, maybe using a dodge tool set very lightly to really burn in the curves and corners might again really make this stand out more. I really like the stop motion on the dirt and the car itself. If you try any of these suggestions I would love to see the results.

HI! First of all, everything I say about any of your shots is strictly my personal opinion and should never be taken personally. I only comment in hopes of helping others as I have been helped here.

Second, you are not a bad photographer, you just need to develop your eye a little more. This shot for instance. The idea is there but how to get to that final vision? How to convey the feelings here?

Well, first, your lighting. Yes, natural light is the best light but high noon is not. I learned this one the really hard way. This shot is well composed, the elements are all there but the lighting is so harsh it's hard to really see what you were looking at. How could you have corrected this shot? Well, there were a couple of options. One, go black & white. Not sure which editing program you have but if you can look at your channels (RGB) then you can see which one shows off the best black and white version. OR you can simply go grayscale and adjust from there. Play with the levels, curves, brightness, contrast. Don't be afraid to push the limits on those either. Take them all the way once in a while just to see how it looks, then hit cancel or undo and start again.

Another option for this shot is duotone. This shot, I personally feel would have done much better in a duotone or b&w version, the lighting would have worked much better with them.

You could also use the rule of thirds. If you haven't taken advantage of the tutorials in the upper navigation bar, do so, I learned a TON from them.

I hope my comments help and you don't give you. You have the right ideas, now the trick is to learn the tricks and impliment those ideas!

Good luck in future challenges!

Okay, I'm a bit wanting to lean or rotate this picture because of the clouds but I see the horizon is straight as are the boats. Very interesting effect. Love the colors of the overall scene, very golden with the yellow on the top. A very nice postcard scene. :) An 8

Spring at last, Spring at last, too bad the wind is blowing outside my door and the temp is dropping, LOL :) Just kidding.

Very well done, nice colors, clarity and balance in the overall shot. The stems are in good focus as well, wonder if they could be fuzzed just a bit to keep the eyes on the flowers but they look fine as they are also. A very nice stock shot. A 7
