This is a good shot but could have been much improved in post production. Using Photoshop or similar adjusting the levels to make the sugar whiter and then playing with brightness and contrast makes a huge difference. I saved your image and tried it and it makes a huge difference. It looks fantastic with a black background instead of red and converted to greyscale is very cool. I do like the shot though. If you load this into Photoshop and adjust the levels manually making the image brighter throughout the whole thing takes on a translucent quality. the bit at the back where the light comes through looks fantastic and could maybe have been cropped out on its own see what I mean at //uk.photos.yahoo.com/bc/martinwoods_uk/lst?.dir=/Yahoo!+Photo+Album

I think I would have liked this more if it had been cropped a lot closer, maybe a section with about 6 ot 8 of those green leaves on would have been enough.

at least you didn't have your "meat balls" pocking through the pasta. It's no wonder your model bites their nails. I can feel the texture just by looking at it though.
