Close enough to touchby Brazen AngelComment: nice, well done. I don't usually like fluffy animal pictures but I appreciate how difficult this sort of shot can be to get at all let alone to do as well as this. |

Yard Sale Item # 13by leviadidasComment: I'll buy it! what is it? I would have prefered not to see all that background at either side. The crop at the base seems about right. This looks more like a deliberate soft focus than just out of focus, if I am right I would have prefered it to be sharp, the relief of the design would have stood out better maybe. |

Sunflower-lookin upby kevinswopeComment: The flower looks dull. I tried adjusting the levels in Photoshop and found that brightening the image this way gives the petals a translucent look, you can see the light coming through them. I don't think it matters that the background becomes very bright as well. As it stands it's a good pic but a bit dull and flat which can be fixed easily |

Object of Affectionby sneebishComment: All I would say is this, a bit of adjustment on the levels makes the colours so much more vivid, as they are I think they look a bit dull and flat. Very unusual flowers, would like to know what they are. |

Sugar Dunesby rcrawfordComment: This is a good shot but could have been much improved in post production. Using Photoshop or similar adjusting the levels to make the sugar whiter and then playing with brightness and contrast makes a huge difference. I saved your image and tried it and it makes a huge difference. It looks fantastic with a black background instead of red and converted to greyscale is very cool. I do like the shot though. You will probably like your shot better but take a look at it the way I worked it //uk.photos.yahoo.com/bc/martinwoods_uk/lst?.dir=/Yahoo!+Photo+Album&.view=t |

Looks like a Fun Guy.by JonniboyComment: If you load this into Photoshop and adjust the levels manually making the image brighter throughout the whole thing takes on a translucent quality. the bit at the back where the light comes through looks fantastic and could maybe have been cropped out on its own see what I mean at //uk.photos.yahoo.com/bc/martinwoods_uk/lst?.dir=/Yahoo!+Photo+Album |
