Micro Botanyby yantskiComment: I rated this one low for 2 reasons. The first being the lack of sharp focus; the focus is soft, at best. Secondly, was the lack of tonal range. I realize this is a brown, bleak subject anyway, but there just isn't any *wow* factor to it... Hope this helps! |

Yellow Tulipsby sfaliceComment: *Critique Club*
First off, I think this picture is really great. It fits the challenge well, and is pleasing to the eye.
The two different shades of yellow add intrest and give a balanced feel to the image. I gives me a calm, soothing feeling. This is added to by the lines created by the vase and the petals. I like the way the bottom of the petals seem to become a continuation of the side of the vase, further unifing the elements of this photo.
The lighting here is good. There doesn't seem to be any problems with over/underexposure, and again the colors are great.
The only nitpick I can find with this shot is perhaps the cropping on the bottom. I would have liked to have seen the vase extend all of the way into the corner. I know that's not kosher photography, but just a thought.
This is a great shot. Well done!

Would you?by beggsComment: To me, this speaks more of love than it does to romance, but it's a very well executed shot. |

Lost Romanceby nephotoComment: Seems antithetical of the challenge, but I liked the image. I'm hoping this was a red rose. =] 7. |
