Again, I thank you guys for the great comments. Yes, i have only entered twice and I have done okay. My dissapointment with the site is not so much with my placement but rather with the placement of other photos. It seems that too many of the same ideas get voted highly. I hate to generalize b/c there have been some truly great winners. I just get tired of seeing some fantastic photographs get low votes b/c the subject is not a flower, sunset, or lightning. Again, I do appreciate all the great comments. Perhaps all I need is a break from photo review sites. I will return when my spirits and perspective are out of the slums. Thank you.

Thank you all for your comments. DrJones, honestly your comment is a great compliment considering your work. I have to say that i am done with this site. The photos that continue to place high are just so. . . too long to explain. It's been fun. Again, thank you all for the great comments.

FINALLY a well deserved ribbon. Jesus. Of all the crap that gets' ribbons. This Shot deserves first place, without question. yes, the angel shot is nice, it's cute in fact. But this, this. This is a photgraph. Outstanding, simply outstanding.

do you have any idea how many times this idea has been used? It's not a bad photo, just the idea is so worn out that it just completely detracts from any merits the photograph might posses.

The desaturation isn't obvious? are we looking at the same photograph? Clown. this is a great shot. Sorry but just completely frustrated with this site and the crap that gets voted high. the desaturation is great. It's a great action shot. A bit tighter would have helped the image.

Okay, I didn't see this one while I was voting. This is the second time I see this happen. Not to complain about the winner b/c she did a good job. But honestly the photo was a bit cheesy. I guess that's what the people on this site like, b/c time after time the cheesiest most cliche image wins.

Your photo is PERFECT, I think i have only given out one 10 so far. I give you a 10 gladly. The movement, the expression, the compostion, the DOF, all on point. You colored the shirt which was a perfect choice. It draws attention to the exact point of interest and compliments the image perfectly. you did a wonderful job, really. In my mind your photo took the blue ribbon. I give up on this site and the consistent voting for cheesy and cliche images. Congrats.
