Sunset Sonata by CuttoothComment: I usually do not give 10's out. It's really hard to have the perfect shot. Well you did though!
The whole image and added soul, make this shot fantastic.
Glad you took the blue!

Phantom of the Northby cdn1Comment: Still looking for these in my area of Ottawa, Canada. I have never encountered one before.
So yeah, I'm jealous!
Nice shot with great detail and a good exposure.
So technically you did do well. But the image itself is missing the wow factor. Which can lead to lower scores on dpc.
I just wish he was chomping on a mouse or something. Putting it over the edge.
Although, this may have been the only shot you got, of this beauty of a bird. |

Mommy!by ursulaComment: I love the tones in this shot. The subtle texture of the snow is fantastic.
Excellent depth of field. The young is sharp, mommy just getting away.
I also love the position of the kid. Excellent framing.
Simple, with great feeling. My kind of shot.... |

Take the time to do it and you will have even more impact! With a slightly higher score....
Oh and nice job! |

Polly wants a ribbon?by RyanWComment: Lovely bird shot. Interesting colours and nice sharpness.
I do find the white blob distracting though. Pulling your eye away from the bird.
I"m still working on it myself, but noticing background distractions, is a huge benefit. This is one of the first things, I try to look for now. Yet still hard to do all the time. Some instances, you don't have the time or space. |

Black & Whiteby glad2badadComment: The longer I look, the more I like. So much interesting body laugauge going on.
It is really cool to see, the emotions going through each person. The focus, apprehension, joy and confusion to name a few, really add to the image. Add in the stereo typical scenario and you have that much more interest. I personally think it is very tasteful and tells so many interesting/positive stories. I still want to know what that big guy laughing, said to the ref!
Well done! |

Tess Singingby eriksawayaComment: I really like the image you two made. From the quality and angle of lighting you chose. Too the effort of the young singer. Great job. Being picky, I wonder if the visible flash, would have been better, hidden behind the mic. I just find it slightly distracting. Although, I do like the flare it creates. mmmm....
But yeah, nice job guys! |

Sunset Sonata by CuttoothComment: The colours, long exposure, comp and scene selection are impressive. Nice to see an additional element added. Yeah, that person really adds interest for me. I love the depth in this creation.
Excellent... |
