Dogwoods on Golf Courseby rlewisComment: NICE!!
I am still wondering about the "tilt", is it an optical illusion or not?
Anyway very nice work! The way the dogwood goes from light to dark also adds to a appealing natural frame to me. |

Iced Limb 1EC.jpgby jim300Comment: Originally posted by Ja-9: this is really cool, I like how the ice has encased the branch...if you changed this to a B&W it would have a really good duotone look... |
Thanks! Usually not a fan of black and white, but if I can get time I will try that.
BTW, NO ONE LIKED THE ICED ENCASED if they were moving about! Very bad time for driving!:) Having said that, I like that sometimes God sees fit to do things like this to force us to slow down and just look at His great creation and how He can just "stop" us in our tracks!
Thanks again!! |

Purple Passionby jim300Comment: Originally posted by Ja-9: ok, here are my impressions, a little dark in the exposure (are you using RAW?) and your flower is so very "centered"...off set it just a little and it will have more appeal (IMO) |
Hey thanks for any and all comments! Not using RAW.
I am fairly new on this site so still learning how to present shots (that's why I'm here!). I agree with dark, and also a little soft on above comment, I had to center it as there was nothing but distractions around it and I didn't want to pick it.
Thanks again for any and all comments!! |

Side View Fallsby rlewisComment: Originally posted by dtremain: This is so nicely done - wispy water, crisp foliage, nice line from upper left to lower right, great color. Very, very nice. |
I was just thinking you have to be very lucky or patient to get such crisp foliage and nice water effect.
very pretty and well done! I agree with dtremain! |

Passion by william88Comment: Beautiful! Thanks for the explanation too!
Very ethereal feel to it with the waves just sort of fading into space as it were.

Aphid - The Gardener's Enemy by SoulMan1978Comment: The two contrasting colors of yellow and green really make this an even greater shot. Your detail and the DOF giving emphasis to the cricket and some of the flower is also very nice. The blurred part actually forces you to the proper place of focus. I love it! |
