DSC06644by anahaydeeComment: The texture of the flower is great. A little more focus stacking would be great to have a little more of the center of the image in focus. |

Too many Bench Pressesby LuciemacComment: This is a great texture. Before I read the title at first glance it looked like ocean waves. The yellow reflection is a little distracting to me though. If you use a black paper or something it would help you block that reflection. |

wall and hookby TiberiusComment: I love the use of a foreground object with the great texture as a backdrop. I feel like the point of the hook pointing off tot he right is drawing my attention to the side of the image and it makes me Wes to to see more of that side. I think either moving the hook to the left of the photo or flipping it around so it draws the eye to a part of the image that is inside the frame would help take it up a notch. |

Material worldby NeatComment: I like the mix of textures but the framing feels a little off to Melkite I'm missing part of the picture on the left. |

chameleonby TireSandalsComment: Nice photo I think it could be better if you tried focus stacking to have more of the photo in focus |

Light as a Featherby AsocComment: Focus stacking. Yes that is what it is called. This was the technique that I used. I tried to describe it but turns out I did just about as good of a job in describing it as I did with the actual technique. ;)
My problem was that with the lens flipped around (only way to get even close to the proper magnification) the depth of field was so small and I didn't get the pics with the focus in the exact right spot so there are a lot of holes that are completely out of focus.
Thanks Sid for the ideas. I have been striving to find the way to make shots more and more interesting and better composed so your tips are very appreciated! Message edited by author 2015-09-24 00:45:12. |

M. Monroeby Dirt_DiverComment: With the eyes in focus I feel I am not drawn to the hand as much. But good shot. |
