@fldave - you may be right on the halo. Though, it seems fairly minimal in this shot. I've had it in more obvious in other shots using Topaz. Other than burning in a bit - not sure how to avoid that. |

There seems to be quite a bit of noise in this one. Focus is a bit soft. I've had this in my own photos when I cropped and enlarged a bird I shot at a good distance. |

It's also not sharp and seems to have some artifacts or noise. |

The Walkby IronworkerComment: Lighting is poor and the photo is out of focus (camera or subject movement).
This would probably be improved if the ISO was increased or maybe a tripod.
Also, the composition might be more interesting and have more impact if the child had knelt beside the dog. Good luck! |

85by jjsmomComment: Lovely smile. Unfortunately, the lighting is harsh and is very un-flattering.
The photo almost looks distorted.
Possibly standing further away from the subject and using a bounced flash might help both the over-all photo and the distracting lighting. |
