White Bells.JPGby sonniejakeComment by Maggye: What I like about white flowers, it's easy to make them the center of attention, you did a great job here!, and you cannot go wrong with shapes repetition too ;) |

White Bells.JPGby sonniejakeComment by pixelpig: Well, the purple ones sure do lead my eye into the comp. I sometimes take a small mag lite w/me, to make a subtle spotlight on white petals. These make a beautiful show as a border, don't they? |

SpiderWeb.JPGby sonniejakeComment by jomari: The flower is Nigella, with common names of love-in-a-mist or devil-in-a-bush. The seed pod in the middle of the flower will blow up like a balloon. Collect some seed coz they are easy to grow without getting pesty and they are very pretty. |

Spots.JPGby sonniejakeComment by Paul: Once again your good eye for an image wins through - depth of field is great, composition works really well.
As others have said, I don't think your colours are far off, it just needs a little more 'pop' to come alive; that's probably about some slight contrast boosting - mainly just at the dark end by raising the black point.
Overall though, I think this is an excellent image. |

SpiderWeb.JPGby sonniejakeComment by KarenNfld: I think it's Love-in-a-Mist flower, there's some at the Botanical Gardens here (well, in the summer, they're not blooming yet). Since it was blowing and you didn't have a tripod, did you try upping the ISO? Sometimes that helps. |
