The flower is Nigella, with common names of love-in-a-mist or devil-in-a-bush. The seed pod in the middle of the flower will blow up like a balloon. Collect some seed coz they are easy to grow without getting pesty and they are very pretty. |

This is a really pretty flower and I really like the background pattern too. You are right about the focus and KarenNfld has given you some great advice. |

I think it's Love-in-a-Mist flower, there's some at the Botanical Gardens here (well, in the summer, they're not blooming yet). Since it was blowing and you didn't have a tripod, did you try upping the ISO? Sometimes that helps. |
