Time can smooth all rough spotsby joannadivaComment by amazoneea: Greetings from The Critique Club
Water flowing past rocks... Good subject for the challenge. It has an infinite continuity.
I like the contrast between the softened water, like a smooth white fabric and the sharply focused stone in the left. I think that in general, the blurred water is loosing most of its charm, but here it works just fine as a replacement of flowing time.
I would say that a bit faster shutter speed would have prevent the apparition of the blown out spot on the water surface. Also, I would have tried to insert in the composition something to stand out a bit more, to add more drama.
Is still a good picture and I want to congratulate you on the very good finish. Keep up the good work!

Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats - by, T.S. Elliotby joannadivaComment by timmi: This cat shot is well done. Love the way the cat tilted her head. Her eyes are like two liquid beads. The blue eyes nicely contrasts with the pinkish background. I like the way the parts that are supposed to be sharp are sharp and the rest is nicely soft. My only suggestion would be not to cut her top ear off (I mean in the photo of course). Lovely companion you have. |

Blessed beby joannadivaComment by Neuferland: The star effect is amazing, I love it when candles do that! The set up on this shot is well thought out and you can tell you took some time to work this out. Having the knife come in on one side and the feather out on the other is another touch of a well thought shot and very well done. The disc in the center looks a bit off, like it's tilting or not quite set right and while I normally like a good star effect, there are just a few too many here for me. Started at a 67, am raising to an 8 |

Blessed beby joannadivaComment by crabappl3: Not really sure what all this means. I'm sure it has a sacred value to you. The overall shot is nice. Your white balance is good. I think that the straight on camera angle doesn't make for a very imaginitive shot. |
