Morning Gloryby kimbershopComment by realmcroy: The color and the lighting are nice. I would like to have seen the rest of fence focused a little more but then you'd probably have lost some of the bokeh effect in the background. |

I'm in love with your son,,,, you know... don't you? "Sticky Situation"by kimbershopComment by ericwoo: Hey there from the Critique Club
Camera Work/Technical: I like the choice you made with the depth of field, but I think that the focus should have been reversed. I feel that she should have been crisp in the foreground and he soft in the background as she is the 'speaking' subject in the image. I do like the black and white conversion you accomplished.
Lighting: She's a little overexposed, and his jacket causes some deep dark areas that are lacking detail.
Composition/Content: Strong composition, and this would be a fine entry for some other challenge.
My Opinion: I'd have to agree with the voters that have commented earlier in that it is a stretch to make this one meet the challenge. Voters are very, very harsh, as you can tell, when they feel that the entry doesn't meet the challenge.

I'm in love with your son,,,, you know... don't you? "Sticky Situation"by kimbershopComment by albc28: Challenge: It was a good attempt at trying to connect it to the topic, but without the title I don't see it being sticky.
Technical: The photo has a weird digital effect that I think makes the photo looks more out of focus than it probably is. Probably has something to do with the way you resized it. Black and white does work for the photo. |
