Hey there from the Critique Club
Camera Work/Technical: I like the choice you made with the depth of field, but I think that the focus should have been reversed. I feel that she should have been crisp in the foreground and he soft in the background as she is the 'speaking' subject in the image. I do like the black and white conversion you accomplished.
Lighting: She's a little overexposed, and his jacket causes some deep dark areas that are lacking detail.
Composition/Content: Strong composition, and this would be a fine entry for some other challenge.
My Opinion: I'd have to agree with the voters that have commented earlier in that it is a stretch to make this one meet the challenge. Voters are very, very harsh, as you can tell, when they feel that the entry doesn't meet the challenge.

She doesn't look at all like this is a sticky situation; she looks quite carefree. |

Challenge: It was a good attempt at trying to connect it to the topic, but without the title I don't see it being sticky.
Technical: The photo has a weird digital effect that I think makes the photo looks more out of focus than it probably is. Probably has something to do with the way you resized it. Black and white does work for the photo. |

I like the idea, just doesn't quite pull off for me the concept of the challenge |

Take away the title and this image doesn't stand on it's own regarding fitting into the challenge. Can't say the focus / lack of focus / soft focus works well on this on my opinon. |

I'm not fond of the soft focus in this. |

Photo does not equal sticky situation in my opinion. And I am not big fan of soft focus. |

The focus is too soft for me, and this would not meet the challenge without the title. |

yeah.. a bit of a shoehorn, because you wouldn't get the link without the title. Not a bad shot, though. |

Hmmmm pretty soft-focus image, but I don't see how it relates to the challenge. |
