Comment by tomzinho:
for these types of shots if you lower the light (gamma) and boost the color (saturation) you can sometimes really bring out the light orange in the clouds. also, you might have cropped out much of the sky above and made it more of a panoramic shot; that would have worked well.

beautiful. maybe crop a little more off at the top so that there is more focus on the color in the sky.

Cats make purr-fect pictures no matter what, I agree. The viewpoint choice is unusual. Creative points for daring to venture into a different perspective. Beautiful golden eyes, whiskers and goatee. I applaude your effort to capture a family pet in a candid manner as opposed to a stiff planned studio type setup. Informal shots bring out the character and nature of the subject. I take hundreds of shots of our kittens before I get that magical image. If I could suggest a few minor points to consider. Perhaps simplify your background to one tone contrasting with the color of your subject. Eg. play with your cat near a suitable colored blanket. Allow reasonable space around your subject. Enough room so the subject does not look cramped and can visually breathe ( unless you desire to make the opposite popint ). White is hard to expose for, especially with flash as it flares to zero detail easily. A bright side window with sheers or a cotton sheet for diffusing light gives gentle ample lighting with nice natural tones. Keep up the good work.
