Tracks in National Park Bombay(Borivali)by naikdarshanComment by w24x192: I think you're a bit too close to the rail, and the out of focus parts are distracting to me. The man in the distance is a small part of the shot...almost lost. Train tracks are an interesting subject thanks the built in leading lines, but I think that this shot could be more successful if you revisit it. Good luck. |

Me and just meby naikdarshanComment by Pixelstate: Greetings from the Critique Club.
Self portraits are never easy. This is an effective self portrait with interesting lighting and an unusual pose.
The Challenge was to illustrate the effect of Bokeh and your shot does not do that.
Getting good Bokeh effect is as much about the lens and camera as well as good Depth of field. (shallow) the out of focus background needs also to be presented by a pattern that blurs well into interesting abstracts for example water drops glistening in sunlight.
The wood pattern on your bed board might look OK in stronger light with a deeper depth of field.

Me and just meby naikdarshanComment by MayaM: Too much of this is in focus for it to be considered bokeh. Also you color balance is off, you have a red/yellow color cast over your entire image. |
