COMPOSITION- The composition in this one fits for what you are trying to say. Funny humorous execution. I like the blurring outside the window and not just sitting in a parking lot or driveway. You've also filled the frame nicely for the type of shot that you are doing.
BACKGROUND- I love the background in this. The blurred trees and stuff out the window gives the shot a sense of motion. Other than that there is not much more to say.
CAMERA WORK- Your focus and lighting is right on. The only concern I have is with the flash. It is reflecting off of his glasses and it draws my eyes there when I first look at the photo. So I think it might look a little better without him wearing the glasses, or to be safer a person without glasses.
POST PROCESSING- Youo've done great on your digital darkroom work. The colors are great and you don't have compression artifacts that I can see. Great job.
MY OPINION- I thought this was funny, I think they should do away with cell phones in cars for the most part. At least take them away from teenage girls :) Great job in the challenge. |

New Hands Free Kitby OnieComment by RiderGal: Wow, now that is lone sexy and sleek phone! hehehehe... good idea for humor though it wasn't shot in the most attractive way. The way you have the subject driving and it's obvious by the passing outside is great... Also your composition is not bad though I might have liked to have seen a little more of the left cropped off, as the glare on the seat detracts from the subject. Good idea, I just think a little more thought could have gone into taking the photo, not just setting up something funny. -5- |

$1.29 lb.....WOW!by OnieComment by BAMartin: Critique Club Critique
(1) COMPOSITION (CONTENT) Well composed. You have used the rule of thirds and leading line very effectively here. This is a very strong composition and very well balanced.
(2) BACKGROUND I love the background that you have used, the slightly out of focus apples add a true three dimentional feeling to this photograph. I also think that the white table makes the apple in the foreground appear very crisp and fresh.
(3) CAMERA WORK ,TECHNICAL Exposure seems right on target. The DOF is perfect in my opinion. I think others might be disturbed by the apples in the background, but to me, they are perfect. I love the little details such as the water drops and how the curve of the apple seems to be "hugging" the diamond.
(4) DIGITAL PROCESSING ,TECHNICAL Good processing. There is a good contrast between the red and the white which helps the apple really stand out.
(5)MEETING THE CHALLENGE This photo does a very good job of meeting the challenge. Its the last place I would expect to see a diamond.
(6) MY OPINION ON THE PHOTO A very interesting photo. I would love to see this blown up huge (poster size) and hanging in a jewelry store. Very well done. |

New Hands Free Kitby OnieComment by LindaLee: I just can't look at this without cracking up! What an imagination you have !! Almost scary! Lighting and composition are good, and I don't even mind the distraction of the interior of the car since it sets the sense of "place". |

New Hands Free Kitby OnieComment by Fibre Optix: Very funny. The only thing that bothers me is the is the lighting. It gives it a snap shot quality. But I don't think you had much control over it unless you chose a different enviornment. Creative shot. |
