First Impression of the shot is, as many have commented, that it is tilted. It distracts from the image. It would be more solid or grounded had it been level.
Composition....it is rather busy. It doesn't follow the rule of thirds.
It may have benefited form a different crop. Perhaps using the Statue as a stop point.

Technically, the lighting is alright for me. But gives the shot a snap-shot feel. It doesn't distract, but it doesnt add anything to the picture. And the face may have lost some detail.
Focus is great, DOF is fine.
I understand you are trying to move the viewer with the emotinal impact of the shot, perhaps a more dramatic angle, or lighting could have helped.

Overall, not a bad shot....work on your composition to make it really speak to us!

i dont really like this shot. The color you shoes is making it looks like a big smog cloud is on the city. Its just not working for me
