City Garden.by catpixelComment by Alpine99: So despite another commentor saying essentially the same thing as me it's me who is at fault for not seeing the challenge? Thanks for the PM and I quote..
ooooh, I'm sorry. I realise now I should have done a butterfly sitting on gnome. Live and learn.
IMHO to become a better photographer you need to accept criticism better, it's not personal, I don't know you, I gain nothing from adding a comment to your image. You are the one who should benefit.
Good luck in future challenges. |

City Garden.by catpixelComment by espenyogi: how long did you think about the subject before entering this photo? It looks like a happy snap you photographed whilst you were on the bike. You could of at least waited for the guy to get out of the way/get in focus! |

City Garden.by catpixelComment by qachyk: It's not that I don't think one can have a garden in a city. It's just that I don't think wild-growing bushes by the river constitute one. It's possible what's across the river does, but as one can't really see it well, that doesn't help much. And if you meant the skyline to be the 'garden', I'm afraid we're going to have to completely disagree on the definition of a garden. |

City Garden.by catpixelComment by Konador: A faster shutter speed would have stoppe dthe sky being washed out, and also stopped the motion blue on the cyclist |

Night Walkerby catpixelComment by Olyuzi: Focus is too soft thougout the whole picture. It would be much better had the woman on the left been in focus more since she seems to be the subject of your photo. |

Night Walkerby catpixelComment by zeuszen: One of the more exciting shots in this challenge. Love the dynamic created by the diagonal theme (of composition/framing/details). The motion blur 'jazzes' this up very nicely and appropiately, given the topic.
The orange tungsten is a bit too pervasive perhaps, and without 'any' sharp definition inside the capture, it fails, IMHO, to satisfy an eye accustomed to an anchor point.
Still, one of the better photographs here. |
