Playing the Bluesby Viking054Comment by ziggy_faw: A great Idea. I love the photo and will be marking it well for this reason. However, I feel that the light should start a little higher up so that it would look as though it was comming out of the saxaphone and not from behind. This is not a critisism just my opinion. Well done! |

Heavy Metal Jazzmanby Viking054Comment by modgethanc: Ouch, I have the same dead pixel problem with my camera (though mine generates about 10 of them--be thankful you only have one XP). Since it's basic editting I think dead pixels are easily forgiven, though.
Anyway, I really like this shot, the lighting is very well done. I love the viginette feel, and the top of the screw head really stands out. It's got a very abstract feel to it, but it doesn't seem sloppy or chaotic, either. A couple of the hotspots are a little distracting, but not too much to affect it overall. I only wish it were a little easier to make out the figure of the sax player. |

Playing the Bluesby Viking054Comment by realpdm: Really good idea! If only the light were aligned with the bell of the horn it'd be fantastic. Not sur why you didn't re-shoot it until you got it spot on. |
