Well... I looked at both versions, and I've got to say that the black and white has so much more punch to it! I think with a bit more contrast added, this could be a very compleling, striking image. Your composition is great, and the way the sky is so dark and moody is a perfect touch. NICE shot! :)

what a great shot!it looks surreal! only thing id do to improve it is adding more blacks to the edges to draw the eyes to that yellow light. oh, and id get rid of that blur at the top.

to me it just looks like flat lighting. it needs some depth ie shoot either morning or later in day near sundown. i wanna see some shadows!

Nice view into the canale. A little underexposed, would have been nice to see a bit of the sky and some more refelctions . Wasn't necessary to use f/9.5, using wide-angle there would have been equal DOF with a larger aperture. A shorter exposure would also have reduced the motion blur in the boats. White balance is a tad too warm IMHO.

Beautiful colors. This is one of those images that really demands being blown up so you can be sucked into it.

I think this does a great job of showing how immense the Grand Canyon is, but that's also sort of where the problem lies, in that there is no central point to focus on.
that said you have captured the strata beautifully and have a good range of colours in the rock along with a nice blue sky. It would just be nice (for me anyway) to have a somewhere specific that the eye wanted to go to.

Nice straight horizon line. The colors are nicely exposed. As I look at the rockformations it seems as if the go on forever. Nicely done.
