You might try channel mixer, pick the blue channel first, and then monochrome. Then bring Blue down to 0, and red and green +75 or so. I've been using this method a lot and I really like the results for most daylight balance pictures. but yes, a little neat image on this does wonders. |

I like both a lot. I think the B&W would be nicer if you ran it through NeatImage to remove some of the noise, expecially in the sky. I really like your composition...the ridge of the dune leads you right into the photo, and to the person. This would have been a great entry in the Rule Of Thirds challenge. |

Well... I looked at both versions, and I've got to say that the black and white has so much more punch to it! I think with a bit more contrast added, this could be a very compleling, striking image. Your composition is great, and the way the sky is so dark and moody is a perfect touch. NICE shot! :) |
