Hydrantby plimComment by 3eyedcrow: It looks like you've lost some detail in your highlights. Did you meter off of your background? It like you may have.
A little trick when photographing scenes with a lot of white or black is to take a reading off of you palm. If your light skinned open up one stop, dark skinned close down. |

Hydrantby plimComment by TheLittleIsland: Though hydrants DO have personification, this photograph shows no details of the hydrant that would suggest anything human. The foreground is overexposed and the background lacks detail. I would appreciate this more for a different competition but it doesn't really work with the challenge. |
