Hanging by a stemby MrvileComment by Pegasus: I like the menace in this image - the fact that you can't see all of him [or maybe my imagination is working overtime lol] |

Hanging by a stemby MrvileComment by shamer: Nice jumper shot. I'm glad I came back through & decided to rate this higher than I had initially as it is a nice capture. |

Hanging by a stemby MrvileComment by MaryO: Ewwww!!! Way too many eyeballs for my taste. And they're in focus, too (shudder). I hate to admit it but this is well done. |

Hanging by a stemby MrvileComment by Blue Moon: so cute! better watch out, that's a jumper...and he's eyeing you! The complementary green colors really make this work, but I wish its head din't blend in w/the background so much. |

Hanging by a stemby MrvileComment by gg3rd: Good color contrast and focus.
It would be more interesting/appropriate if you had the stem (and the "beast") on a more diagonal orientation. |

Skyscapeby MrvileComment by Mrvile: Thanks for the comments everyone! Another high-scorer for me, but still haven't broken 6 yet. Anyway, thank God for advanced editing, in fact a lot of editing went into this image to get all the colors and WB right...
You guys are right about the shadow though...originally the image had a very large shadow in the bottom-right corner and I had cropped out a lot of it for this, but didn't get rid of it completely. I'll have to watch the composition before shooting next time. |

Staring Into The Abyssby MrvileComment by Mrvile: Thanks for the comments! This is now my second highest rated photograph, but I'm still on my way to break 6.
Anyway I had a few other macros with better, more attractive and more noticeable bokeh, but I liked the composition and contrast of this shot so much I was blinded of the actual contest. I'll keep the contest theme in mind a bit more next time. Thanks again! |
