Watchingby LKMoteComment by espy2: I'm not much for receiving or giving comments, but since Candids are
near and dear to my heart, I have decided to give comment on every entry
in this challenge.
This is ok. I like the tones, but it holds little interest for me otherwise. Hats and glasses are a nightmare for the candid photographer and mask any emotion that could normally be seen without them. Here I just see a woman looking to the right or her left. I really don't see anything that makes gives me much interest. It's a 3 for me. |

dressage3.jpgby LKMoteComment by Ristyz: This is nice, I want just a teen bit more of the sleeve cuff and saddle and a little less in front of his head. Could live without the rider in the background, the shallower DOF helps that some.
Horse is relaxed ("v" shaped ears show you this, especially if they flop a little) I love shooting the braided side, especially when the braids are this neat. |

dressage1.jpgby LKMoteComment by Ristyz: Nice framing for a head shot I'm glad you included the shoulder could use a wee bit more at the top. I like that you caught an ear in each direction, looking where's he's going but listening to his guide. Seems a touch tense tho'. YOu could use layers to darken the background to give it a bit more saturation. Would improve if you didn't have the shadow on part of the face. |

dressage5.jpgby LKMoteComment by Ristyz: A nice relaxed moment after the test, background coudl be better shorter DOF can help. |

dressage6.jpgby LKMoteComment by Ristyz: This makes a very nice story! Love the framing by the barn and the sillouette of all the stuff in teh doorway. Nice background for a horse venue!!
Edit: nicely exposed, might clean up the poo! Message edited by author 2006-04-08 22:06:13. |
