Nice framing for a head shot I'm glad you included the shoulder could use a wee bit more at the top. I like that you caught an ear in each direction, looking where's he's going but listening to his guide. Seems a touch tense tho'. YOu could use layers to darken the background to give it a bit more saturation. Would improve if you didn't have the shadow on part of the face.
