Basically, the composition is good, but the subject is a bit boring. Sorry. You could wait until the cloud patterns are really interesting, shoot again, then dodge and burn the photo until it becomes striking.

The composition is good here. You use the rule of thirds well. You've also got a good DOF, which helps separate the flower from its background. The negative bits for me are: 1. The focus seems a bit off; 2. The background is dark which kind of depresses the overall feeling of the photograph; but the biggest point is that the treatment of the subject is a bit bland. You need to find something special about the flower, get right in, concentrate on an aspect of its form, use a filter to blur and romanticise it. Good luck with your photography.

Funny I thought of the same idea with the jewels coming out of the eye like tears. I'm wondering if it wouldn't be more effective to have her light blue outfit be a deeper shade. Lovely child. Nice eyes!! 7

very cute, I dont know why the toy monster truck is in this shot as it does not aide to the shot. the shadow being casted on her cheek is a bit dark but the shot is very nicely exposed aside that. i like how the complection is captured as well. no signs of overexposure as well good job.
although I see no "what" factor to the shot, its a nice snap shot nonetheless.

I think your lighting looks great. The image might have more "What" apeal if you had turned the image to the left. I think your background is blurred enough that it wouldn't be obvious. It would look really weird to have her little ponytail sticking straight out.
