I think a darker background may have added something to this photo. The ring sort of blends in with the white background, making the ring not stand out as much as I think it should. I like the way you displayed it. it makes it original that way. The focus is good and lighting is also good. It's only the background that makes it appear a bit bright. Good luck with the challenge.

Nice still life, interesting curves on the dummy hand. A black background would make the ring stand out better, rather than the hand stand out, since it is presumably the ring that is new. I still like it.

ring looks somewhat distorted, like the image was stretched. the color is wierd too. looks kind of like a dark image lightened too much with levels. nice idea.
