Great landscape! I like the way there are stripes of interest - the crater in the foreground, the orange flat lands behind, the mountains behind that and then the cloudy sky. Great detail too.

Beautifully executed image of this church and its surroundings. I very much like the angle from which you captured this structure. Technically, I think it's just fine. Compositionally, it's also strong.

You have created the essence of a bleak landscape which seems to embody loss.

It may be this bleakness worked against your scoring a little. If so, it would be simply because the voters didn't understand the beauty of your interpretation.
