Greetings from the Critique Club
Beautifully executed image of this church and its surroundings. I very much like the angle from which you captured this structure. Technically, I think it's just fine. Compositionally, it's also strong.
You have created the essence of a bleak landscape which seems to embody loss.
It may be this bleakness worked against your scoring a little. If so, it would be simply because the voters didn't understand the beauty of your interpretation.
Good luck in your future Challenges. I'll look forward to seeing more of your work. |

| Great shot. I love the matching crosses. Maybe cropping out the left side of the image just in front of the church would help just a little. |

| Wow, what a neat rustic church. Nice position. The ground is a bit dreary in color though. I would really like to see it stand out more. |

| I like the colors and effect, but don't see anything to associate with memorial day. except the cross marker. that doesn't remind me of fallen soldiers though. |

| The image is very good. I think the composition and the processig have been well executed. The gradient in the sky is a bit strong maybe. For me, this challenge requires an appropriate title for it to fit well in the challenge. I'm not American, but I believe that Memorial Day is a remembrance for those that fought in the war. This image doesn't really seem to fit with the Memorial Day title. JMO. |
