I gave your photo a six. I think it was a very good shot with good lighting. It just didn't jump out at me. All that brown is kind of depressing.

It just doesn't seem to have enough contrast and good focus. It wouldn't have been to bad if more of the shoes were in focus and maybe more light. Try it again or even go back into psp and see what you can do to it.

No fill flash on this one. It was early evening and the sun was low in the sky giving us some great light to work with. The Canon 85mm f/1.8 lens really helps here because the shallow depth of field gives the subject a nice pop from the background.
