Kiwinezzby skylenComment by AlexMonty: A touch oversaturated, maybe? It's always a little risky saturating to that extent. Regardless, this is a good take on a DPC classic and I think you've executed this pretty nicely. Good job, 8

Kiwinezzby skylenComment by nicklevy: Too much saturation and contrast. Look a bit like a drwaing. Good composition and capture but way too heavy on post processing. |

Limon Freshby skylenComment by skylen: Self-critique, and including the biggest points made by commenters. I'm doing this to try to improve for future shots.
The Good:
+ color color color! complementary colors w/ high saturation
+ interesting and sharp detail on the peel
+ the darkness of the peel provides contrast to the bright areas, and separates the red and green areas
+ lighting, the lime looks like it's glowing, and good balance between background and foreground brightness
The Bad:
- some red bled through the the lime
- border too bold
- little yellow highlights

Into the Morning Mixby skylenComment by Jutilda: Very clear shot. Love the idea of the beans "jumping" into the coffee (or that's my take on it). I don't know why it didn't score higher in that challenge. |

Golden Garnishby skylenComment by gloda: Very shaky link to the challenge, but hey! it looks good. I don't like the plate in the upper right corner and the reflections in the spoon. I appreciate how you show a source of food, the wheat, and the plate as symbol for the wait for food. The viewer has to imagine what's between. Even if you didn't mean to show that ;) |
