The Vast Boundaries of Brotherly Trust!!!by LENWOODBLUZComment by TabbyCat: This gave me a grin. Y'know what might've been cooler? Drip a bit of apple sauce or juice on the guy's forehead... that would have been great for dramatic/shock effect! ;-) Maybe crop a bit of the right side to help bring the focus to the guy. Great choice of the background, I like the low-hanging branches. Good idea in bringing out the colors of the apple and arrow. Very nicely done! |

The Vast Boundaries of Brotherly Trust!!!by LENWOODBLUZComment by MrAkamai: I think you were trying to go for a selective desat with this and you (mostly) succeeded. The lower parts of the sky are still a faint blue and not quite duotone yet. If I'm wrong, please tell me. I think the sunject could have used a different facial expression like one of great surprise or relief that the apple was hit instead of himself. Good effort overall. |

The Vast Boundaries of Brotherly Trust!!!by LENWOODBLUZComment by whagerbaumer: I am sure I would have liked this far more without the selective desaturation. The rest of the picture literally pales in comparison to arrow and apple. As the brother is vital to the story, he should not pale, and as the scene is so beautiful, it should not pale. A 5. |
