However, I'm not sure the depth of field is shallow; the entire rose looks to be in focus, and the background is black. GORGEOUS image, but since it's a technical challenge I feel like I shouldn't give this the 9 or 10 it would otherwise deserve. 7. |

A Desert Placeby jefalkComment by Skip: this looks like a beatiful place. in a strange way, though, the lighting gives it the feel of being an artificial set--like a museum display with a painted backdrop. i like the composition and subject matter, but it feels just a bit too sterile for me to connect with it emotionally. |
