I was going to move on until I scrolled down and saw the cat's head - that's good! It's a shame the dog couldnt have been closer but then his wary look adds to it. I wonder if you could have improved it by discarding a lot of the other stuff. Hope everyone else scrolls down!

Nice pick of an unusual subject. Lighting (one light source, it looks like) is a bit bland and the angle doesn't let us really see the carving. Maybe next time use a white piece of paper to bounce light onto the dark side. Interesting details could be better seen with a wider depth of field.

Very interesting subject. I really like the texture visible in your picture and the color is lovely as well. I'm not really keen on the lighting, since it's coming from the back it obscures the front part of this interesting jade bead. Also the shadow in the lower right corner is odd. I think this centered composition would work better if it were cropped in closer on the sides making the picture square.
