Life :-)by MarleneComment by fitz3000: OMG I had the same playing field for cars when I was little! The photo is more of a snapshot but you'll get extra credits for bringing back good memories ;-) |

White payphoneby MarleneComment by Cory: What a very odd phone. I assume you used flash here? Really not a bad effort, but the composition is sloppy and the flash blew out some highlights.. Still, a fun image, thanks for sharing with us! |

Safety firstby MarleneComment by bvy: The swirling chaotic rhythm, the drab monochrome treatment, the sharpness which goes in and out of focus -- all very effective. Certainly nothing I want to get tangled up in. |

Shellsby MarleneComment by giantmike: I like your thought behind this photo. The filled frame is good. HOwever, the photo itself just doesn't have much pop. Here are some suggestions I have:
* It looks like you used on camera flash, which is causing some very harsh shadows. With a still subject like this, I would haver rather seen a tripod and long shutter used.
* The contrast and saturation both seem a bit low. Try increasing them slightly. |

Shellsby MarleneComment by PetRock: Perhaps if you wet the shells it would have brought out more color, or done more with the lighting. |

Shellsby MarleneComment by bvy: I like your idea, but the lighting is a bit flat and drab in this. |

Shellsby MarleneComment by Yo_Spiff: Comes off quite flat to me, but I think this has some good potential with some adjustments. I did a screen grab and popped this into PSP to see. A quick adjustment of levels (there is a big flat spot on the high end of the histogram), some saturation and a touch of clarify brought out some nice detail and pop. |
