	Sunrise, Santa Cruz by ronners Comment by JEM: Almost all DPC voters expect a sunrise to be bursting with colors. Your photo would probably have placed much higher with some great California colors. Santa Cruz is a great area...do continue submitting local photographs.

	Sunrise, Santa Cruz by ronners Comment by AFViper: I like that you used black and white for this. The sky is great, being dark at the very top, and scattering as it gets closer to the horizon. You should have done something to get rid of that bright sunlight in the center of the frame.

	Sunrise, Santa Cruz by ronners Comment by Dave Gordon: Many subjects work better in black and white, but IMHO sunrises and sunsets are not among them. I can imagine beautiful colors in the sky, and their reflections on the water, but I'd like to see them.
