I think the moon is a little blured and thought the sun was the fire in the sky? I do like the composition of the picture though, gives a good feeling of space. As for fire? not sure it meets the challenge.

What good fortune - or perhaps more an example of persistence and patience on your part. A lovely diagonal wave of northern lights hanging over the city - with the moon in a perfect spot. I like the stars peeking through. Would make a lovely poster. Wish there was a bit more contrast between the green and the night sky. 9

Great idea for this challenge. If you select just the sky you could brighten the aurora 20-30% or so and apply some noise reduction to it and you could make a much more dramatic sky without washing out the nice city lights below.
