Warwick Castle, 941years oldby GemGemComment by Covert_Oddity: This is a pretty nice shot, but there are a few things about it which are bothering me.
First is the angle you have taken it from, though I realise that it's probably built on a hill so I don't know how much you could have done about that.
Second is the sky, it's pure white, a dramatic cloud cover would have worked better, though again, that's probably not completely your fault, but most likely the wonderful depressing British weather.
Lastly, and this is the only one that is strictly your fault, is the top of the lamp post sticking into the shot at the lower right is annoying, you could probably have got away with cloning that out under the advanced editing rules. |

Warwick Castle, 941years oldby GemGemComment by JimiRose: I think a wider angle and more detail in the sky would have done this shot good, within advanced editing you could have done 3 bracketed exposures and gone for an HDR, or a graduated neutral density filter would have helped to bring the exposure of the sky down a notch. |

Warwick Castle, 941years oldby GemGemComment by ThingFish: Great angle you took this shot from emphasizing the dramatic architecture of this castle. Pity about the bland sky but I know from experience that those skies are typical in the UK at this time of year and one can't do much about it. |

Armillary sphereby GemGemComment by WickedSound: Like abstract things. Also enjoy lines and see how people present them. Nicely done here. Keeps me looking and wondering. Nice job on its color. It's soft and you didn't push it. 7 |

Pale flowersby GemGemComment by PennyStreet: gorgeious light. I hate to say that I'd like more saturation because then it wouldn't meet the challenge as well. Nice job. |

Armillary sphereby GemGemComment by Jason_Cross: Oh ya that is one of those things that...um you know that keeps the...wait let me get on wikipedia... oh ya, these circular rings is a small terrestrial globe J, fixed on an axis K, which extends from the north and south poles of the globe at n and s, to those of the celestial sphere at N and S. On this axis is fixed the flat celestial meridian L L, which may be set directly over the meridian of any place on the globe, so as to keep over the same meridian upon it. This flat meridian is graduated the same way as the brass meridian of the common globe, and its use is much the same. I knew that. |
