The Bookwormby andrewmComment by SharQ: Beautiful lighting and good use of leading lines. Seems slightly posed, although I don't know if it is or not. (8) |

The Bookwormby andrewmComment by 3boyzMom: Overall I like this picture. it definitely meets the challenge, nice use of lines and light to draw the viewers eye into the subject. to make it a winner, you probably need a better model...i don't know what it is about her, but she's not convincing in this role and she needs a fashion consultant. |

The Bookwormby andrewmComment by Azrifel: Image with a good impact on the viewer. The subject is clearly the reading girl, both subject placing and the leading lines makes the image work in that respect.
Leading lines are the balustrade and the arch/pillar in the upper right section.
Lighting and exposure is great and the yellow shirt makes the subject stand out from the classic surroundings. The dark left side works well, it enhances the other composition techniques to keep the eye in the right side of the frame.
Good job, one of my favourites.
O yeah, I remember something else. Het activity has a leading line as well and that is the line between her eyes and the book. It communicates that she is fully occupied by her book, perhaps didn't even notice the photographer. When she would have looked up the magic moment would have gone and the photo wouldn't have worked as well as it has now. |

The Bookwormby andrewmComment by GolferDDS: Very interesting perspective and interpretation of the theme. Excellent shot. The picture has a very warm and quiet feeling to it. The young lady's yellow shirt really helps your leading lines draw the viewer to the subject. Even the chandelier seems to point to her. This is my favorite shot of the week. Great job! |

The Bookwormby andrewmComment by kiwiness: Very clear and focused and meets the challenge well. The line is leading right to the girl. If you had stood a little more to the left you could have had a bonus line coming from above using the lamp. 8 |
