I like how this capture meets the challenge. There are iron filing trees, but it doesn't stop there, there is also iron oxide grass (rust). So it is truly an iron forest. Good Work!

Great capture, however you did not photograph a mercury thermometer but rather an alcohol thermometer. When the liquid is red the thermometer is an alcohol thermometer and has a lower temperature range than a mercury thermometer which the liquid inside would then be metallic.

But like I said before, otherwise great capture
