Checkers anyone?by treyvusComment: I like the interesting take to think outside the box. The lighting here distracts me. The image will still rank just fine with me, but the lighting shadows distract me from what the title suggests as the focus of the shot. Additionally the closed eyes on your checker queen doesn't give you as good of a shot as what you had set up. |

Harvest Popby sallyjo1Comment: I like it. A nice take on the challenge. Nitpicky me says the yellow string at the top of the frame holding the stalks together is an easy crop out so we don't see that distraction. However I love the character the building brings into the shot and the compostion is very very nice. |

Orville's Gourmet Addictionby hahn23Comment: Nice solid shot. No huge WOW factor, but I don't think that is what you were going for. Good lighting, good use of challenge, and good composition. I would say think about turning the bag a little to give it more detail you can bring out but a nice solid shot. |

Crime Sceneby BloodMapleComment: Nice :) It appears the deceased lost bodily control after death with the soiled spot under them. :) I love the creativity and thought process on the shot. Would have liked to seen this on a darker background for a chalk line effect, but that would have made the limbs difficult to make. A very nice job and I assure you I appreciate the smile it brought to my face. |

Unpoppedcornby dcanossaComment: Not a ton to this shot, but a nice job with it. I like the set up of the kernels. Gives you depth and distance to the shot. I am sure some will ding you for lack of wow factor, but a very nice solid shot. |

Once You Pop...by arron_christensenComment: I like the frozen capture. Many have tried the movement and it doesn't work for me as much as this does. The framing of the shot distracts me a bit on this one. It won't hurt my scoring on this one, but the left bottom with the grey whatever that is immediately catches my eye as does the right half of the pan with the handle or whatever that is coming off. I would say either crop or get in closer oooooorrrrr pan it out so we know what that is so it can be mentally placed so it isn't a distraction. But as I said not going to hurt your score with me just something of a comment because really the comments are just as important as the scores. |

Even Spiders Like Itby libertyComment: Very nice detail shot. Not sure how you made a popcorn ball :) Actually the closer I look the more I see how you made the popcorn ball. I see something under the spider's middle right leg that looks like fishing line. At first I thought it was feeler hair on the spider but it couldn't come out at that angle. Not sure what it is but my eye catches it. HOWEVER, that is a nitpicky. Meaning it doesn't really impact my scoring on a very nice capture with a fun twist. |

The popping of...by hajekaComment: I like the thought for this one. The additional moving matter (I assume it is oil or popcorn fragments) that is flying over the piece to left is pretty distracting to me personally. The framing is very good. Just right on the left to right and the up and down for me. |

Poppedby EstimatedEyesComment: Crisp sharp shot. I like the lighting angle. You will probably get dinged by many because there isn't a wow factor, but this is very solid and the lighting makes it stick out for me. Well prepared shot. |
