A Long and 'Rinding' Roadby chrisabComment: This one joyously leapt from the screen for me. Beautiful balance of color (and bold saturation, particularly on the blueberry!) ... I like the dialouge of yellow-and-blue-make-green. I like your transition from sharp to blurry, from speckled to smooth; I like the repetition of curves, both natural and carved -- and there, the contrast of natural and enhanced. This photo is, itself, a converstation of comparison and contrast. To me, this is either a 9 or 10 (points off, maybe for the slightly overblown specular highlight on the lemon). |

Kiwi by NitenComment: Gorgeous! An explosion of Kiwi ... the color, though usually not appealing to me, is exciting here because it's all natural. Nice tonal range (almost a duotone of green and yellow), and the seeds are dynamite. This says to me "organic," from the association between sperm-competing-for-ovum and fruit-as-tree's-ovum, but also "cosmic," because of the blast of light. It all ties together. Very nice! |

Twisted Granny Appleby alanfreedComment: One of my favorites this week. I like the muted green below, and the whimsical spiral up top, along with its tonal range of greens, oranges, and yellows. Beautifully lit, very playful photo. |

Childhood Wishesby Edward MainComment: Simple, good honest, bright childhood. I like the bright colors and smiley face, and the tilted candle flame keeps the eye moving in a circle, which emphasizes the ice cream bar. |

Play time is over by Frank BeckmanComment: Absolutely gorgeous colors. I like the basketball hoop, because it defines the setting (more so than merely the other structure, which could be a porch, verandah, etc., but is probably a jungle gym). Somehow, though, I'd like to see the hoop at a different angle. It "argues" with the tree just a bit. |

Castles and Shellsby MiekaComment: I like your colors a LOT. The tilt is nice, but a bit too much, I think. I like the feeling of slight tilt of the head, but this is almost dizzying. |

Balloonby BAMartinComment: First one I've voted a perfect 10. I love the color, love the framing. |

Yes, sir!by stephanComment: I think this would be strong if the belt were an obvious man's belt. Maybe a bigger buckle ... and then, if it were coiled in a manner more consistent with hitting. |

Need a hand?by KaveyComment: A tad overexposed on the shoulder and hand (it blows away the shape of this dad or uncle figure). I like the tilted angle, though. |
