| Such a simple image but for me it really brought back thoughts of childhood as soon as I saw the thumbnail. I can still smell the rubber as I type this. Great feelings. |

I saw this photo and thought it was in the "Balloon" challenge and titled "Childhood Without Children." It made me think of the belly of a pregnant woman... tied shut. It made me think of a woman who is not pregnant looking at a balloon and seeing the baby she never had.
See how much a title can do? :) |

Great composition with that wonderful curve interrupted by the knot. Slightly too strong on colour saturation for me, and seems very grainy at right hand side.

This is simple, yet effective. Rule of thirds is well used, and the contrast is great. The only thing I feel is missing here is possibly context. 7

I really like this image. One little thing though - this particular image, although great, doesn't really portray that childhood impression - well, that's not the way I remember balloons as a child - just my opinion. Anyway, I still love this image-good lighting and composition - 9

| It's strange that the thumbnail of this photo looked really aweful and the large version looks great. My photos are always the oposite. lol. Beautiful colors. I like the angle and placement of the balloon. The lighting gives it this nice gradiation from yellow to orange. Very nice job. Good luck in the challenge. |

| This shot is very sharp. I wonder if you tried holding a flashlight up to the opposite side if that would have given a better lighting. I'll have to try it sometime. |

| It's a nice closeup of the balloon, but it doesn't evoke the feelings of childhood in my opinion. It seems more artistic than something that brings about an emotion from childhood. It *is* a nicely composed, well done shot, though. |
