Forrest Gump

Perfect, this is this week's standout entry in my opinion. I would be surprised if this does not take the blue ribbon.
As an image it stands up quite well, with only minor, minor adjustments that I would make such as possibly making the image a little more contrasty. But that is pretty minor and is, of course, subjective. There's nothing you can do about the sky which is about the only detraction from the image at all.
Love the detail you have gone to here, white socks.... and even the checked shirt. Great shot, thank you, I got a real kick out of this one.... as you have no doubt gathered from the length of my comments... this is head and shoulders above the other shots in this challenge for both originality and relevance to the challenge topic.
If this does not win there is no justice on DPChallenge!

This should have finished top 3..... this epitomises my view of a night on the town. Didn't comment on any night on the town shots but this was my fave! Everything about it reminds me of way too many Saturday nights! Great work Matt, keep shooting.

Beach Backyard

Great shot, I would like to see this in colour.... I would have thought that perhaps this would look better in colour. It has a nice feel to it but just seems to be lacking something in my opinion.... just wondered if it was the lack of colour. Having said that perhaps an increase in the contrast might help too..... not trying to be negative, I think this has quite a good depth to it.... just needs that little something to make it jump off the page.
